Vivian Maier: Autorretratos de rua como vestígios autobiográficos
Palavras-chave
This article seeks to analyze some self-portraits of Vivian Maier with the concepts developed by Phillipe Lejeune on autobiography and the information about the trajectory of this photographer, who concealed throughout her life her artistic activity and worked as a babysitter - occupation that allowed her to travel through the spaces of the city. Her first publicly unveiled images were discovered by chance during an auction in Chicago in 2007. Since then other fragments of her important work have been discovered. Her self-portraits are pictorial and enigmatic constructions, with several layers of meaning, often hybrid with the documentary language of street photography.
