Preta, Pobre e Nordestina: representações e repercussões da primeira protagonista negra da telenovela Malhação

Assumindo que os produtos televisivos, principalmente a telenovela – que é o principal produto de ficção seriada nacional - possuem um importante papel no processo de construção de imagens e identidades que circulam em nossa sociedade, bem como no estabelecimento de debates de questões político-sociais, este artigo se propõe a analisar a representação e recepção da primeira protagonista negra da telenovela Malhação, procurando entender o uso de determinados estereótipos que dizem respeito à construção da imagem da mulher negra.

Assuming that television products, especially the telenovela - which is the main product of national serial fiction - play an important role in the process of constructing images and identities that circulate in our society, as well as in establishing debates on political and social issues, This article aims to analyze the representation and reception of the first black protagonist of the soap opera Malhação, trying to understand the use of certain stereotypes that concern the construction of the image of the black woman.
