Performances Femininas nas Fanfarras de Rua Carioca

Apesar dos avanços sociais das últimas décadas, as mulheres seguem desempenhando um papel de menor destaque na sociedade, sofrendo vários preconceitos sociais. O feminismo no Brasil tem um histórico de lutas por cidadania e liberdade que vem ganhando um novo impulso. Apesar dessa luta, um dos universos que ainda é pouco acessível às mulheres é o das fanfarras. Assim, o presente artigo buscou analisar as representações femininas na música e na performance do carnaval carioca. O trabalho foi desenvolvido com o bloco Mulheres Rodadas e a banda Damas de Ferro, que se destacam no contexto das fanfarras cariocas. A análise de uma perspectiva sócio comunicacional buscou problematizar de que forma as questões de gênero emergem como performatividade nesses blocos de fanfarras.

Despite the social advances of the last decades, women continue to play a minor role in society, suffering various social prejudices. Feminism in Brazil has a history of struggles for citizenship and freedom that is gaining a new impetus. Despite this struggle, one of the universes that is still not very accessible to women is that of fanfare. Thus, the present article sought to analyze the female representations in the music and in the performance of the carioca carnival. The work was developed with the bloco Mulheres Rodadas and banda Damas de Ferro, which stand out in the context of the Rio fanfare. The analysis of a social communicational perspective sought to problematize how gender issues emerge as performativity in these blocks of fanfare.
