Consumo e cultura material no contexto do Rock in Rio
Palavras-chave Based on an analysis of Daniel Miller’s study entitled "Consumption as material culture", this article comes up with an approach to consumption as a social phenomenon and brings a preliminary view of some consumer practices observed in music festivals, particularly in the one named Rock in Rio. Taking into account the relation suggested by Miller between consumption and material culture, it is aimed to portray these two fields of study as close and familiar to most people once they establish a system of classification and exchanges among them, help to create bonds of belonging and feelings of collectivity and thus proves their relevance in the understanding of contemporary society.
